- African Digital Library: West
African Digital Resources (Matrix, Michigan State University). Multimedia
electronic resources for the study of West African cultures.
- African
Studies Center (Edited by Ali B. Ali-Dinar, School of Arts & Sciences,
University of Pennsylvania). A non-African academic research center with links
to full-text resources by Africans or about Africa. A feature of this site is a
set of country-specific Web pages that function as a guide to Internet/Web
resources.
- Africana Digitization Project.
Digital Content Group, University of Wisconsin Libraries. Searchable/browsable
collection of English language travel and ethnographic monographs dating
back to the 16th century. Date accessed: 2003-05-16. Date added: 2003-05-16.
- The American Museum of
Natural History Congo Expedition, May 1909-November 1915. New York,
NY: Digital Library Project, American Museum of Natural History Library.
The museum's first online collection is based on multimedia records, including
160 scientific publications (full-text searchable or browsable),  from
this expedition. Date added: 2002-03-05.
- Center for Electronic
Resources in African Studies (University of Iowa Libraries). Although not
based in Africa, this academic center provides links to full-text resources by
Africans or about Africa.
- DISA (Digital Imaging Project of
South Africa hosted by the University of Natal, South Africa). Digital
facsimiles of various serials documenting the history of South Africa.
