Resource (First Peoples'

multimedia content contained within phrasebooks for various languages. Date

Michigan: Eastern Michigan University Wayne State University. Gateway to
a wide variety of linguist and language resources. The Linguist List, in
conjunction with the Linguistic Society of America (LSA),  also operates
the Endangered Languages

- Open Language Archives Community
(OLAC). An " international partnership of institutions and individuals who are creating a
worldwide virtual library of language resources, ... OLAC was founded at the Workshop on Web-Based
Language Documentation and Description in Philadelphia in December
2000"
. In addition to developing an XML-based schema for language Web resources
metadata, OLAC uses the Open Archives Initiative for metadata harvesting.

- Rosetta Project (The Long Now
Foundation) is constructing a " near permanent archive" of 1,000 languages in
online and hardcopy formats (micro-etched nickel disk and a book). Volunteer
